Behind the scenes

When Infosys wanted to educate existing and future employees about their corporate values, the big question was how do you not bore everyone into a coma. But what holds people’s attention for minutes on end and keeps them coming back for more? Mobile games.


That’s how we built Infosys PurposeRun, inspired by endless runner games like Subway Surfers and Temple Run. Infosys’ values were turned into power-ups that users ran towards, while negative behaviours became nerfs that slowed you down and had to be avoided. Every swipe became an opportunity to showcase a corporate value, and every element of the game represented something true to Infosys – from the game environment that was modeled after Infosys campuses, to the avatars that reflected the diversity in Infosys’ workforce.


The result was that over a three minute run, as users collected power-ups and dodged obstacles, every swipe and tap etched Infosys’ values into their minds.
